Long have I waited for your coming home to me, and living deeply our new life. — from the hymn 'Hosea'
There are many reasons people drift from the Church. Some get busy with work or family. Some were hurt, or angry, and had every reason to be. Some just slipped away and never found the moment to come back. Whatever your reason, we are thankful you are reading this — and we want you to know there is no waiting period, no paperwork, and no explaining required to walk back through the door.
A gentle way back
Come to a Mass and just sit with it. Nothing is expected of you. If it has been years, our What to Expect page is a quick refresher. Many people find that the second visit feels easier than the first.
When you're ready, the Sacrament of Reconciliation — confession — is the doorway home. If you don't remember how it works, tell the priest it has been a while; he will walk you through it, and he will be glad you came. Times are on our Mass times page, or call the office for a quiet appointment.
Questions first? Good.
If you'd rather talk before you show up, call the parish office at 250-542-1276 — someone will respond within a day or so. Online, CatholicsComeHome.org and Catholic.com answer the questions returning Catholics ask most. And our own Upon This Rock course, though designed for newcomers, has re-ignited the faith of many lifelong Catholics.
We look forward to welcoming you home.
